insurance information
We are an out-of-network provider, and this means we do not directly bill to insurance. We understand the cost is no easy undertaking, but ultimately bypassing insurance creates a better experience for our clients. Our testing decisions are based solely on what we determine is needed for your child and not on what insurance will reimburse or decide as necessary. The time we spend with you or your child is informed by what is necessary, and not on what the insurance provider will allow. The thoroughness we provide in our testing process is stronger than others who accept and bill to insurance.
Insurance Billing codes
At Portage, we want to assist with making this process cost effective for you. Please feel to use our billing codes to see if your insurance provider will reimburse you for any incurred costs.
These billing codes will be provided in your Good Faith Estimate and in your superbill. The Good Faith Estimate will be provided when receive you initial paperwork and will highlight the cost of the evaluation so there are no surprises. The superbill is provided at the conclusion of your evaluation and is a document for insurance reimbursement that highlights your costs, billing codes, and description of services.
