THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Comprehensive, individualized assessment for children, adolescents & adults

step one:

GATHER INFO

We listen to your concerns and gather information from your child and their teachers. If needed, we observe your child at school. We develop a nuanced understanding of what is going on with your child: behavior, mood, learning, strengths & weaknesses.

step two:

testing

We use our deep knowledge of child development, learning, and assessment to choose tests that help us understand your child's strengths and weaknesses. We then drill down to get at the "why" underneath the struggles, sorting out what is typical and what is cause for concern.

step three:

RECOMMENDATIONS

Our reports tell a story in easy-to-understand language, without jargon. We include only what is relevant and useful, giving you a clear sense of immediate next steps to help your child. You won’t have to wait long; we pride ourselves on our quick turnaround time.
